Srigufwara police arrested five persons, recovered 330 kgs of fuki

Islamabad Jan. 04: With the arrest of five people, Srigufwara police today claimed to have busted a gang of smugglers, recovered huge quantity of fuki from their possession.
Police claimed to have arrested five smugglers and recovered 330 kg’s fuki from  a cowshed during overnight raids. Acting on a tip-off, police established a search operation in the cowshed of  Ab Rashid Wagay resident of Shaligam  Bijbehara. During the search, police recovered 20 bags of fuki from the cowshed of Ab Rashid Wagay and his four associates, residents of same village.
Station House Officer Srigufwara Mr. Ishafaq Ahamd told Rising Kashmir that they arraested five persons namely Ab Rashid Wagay s/o Hassan wagay, Mohd Maqbool s/o Lasi wagay, mustaq Ahmad Taray s/o Hassan Taray and Mustaq Ahmad Sheikh S/o Rehman Sheikh residents of Shaligam Village.
“In this connection a case under Narcotics act ( No. 299/18/20)  has been registered and futhers investigation is going on.” he said.
The arrests were made in last few days, police said, adding acting on the clues provided by  drug smugglers arrested earlier, they have  arrested the kingpin of the gang, Ab Rashid Wagay  along with his four accomplices
Earlier, Srigufwara police had arrested three fuki smugglers, residents of Shaligam under the same Act.
