Srinagar, Jan 18th ::: Peoples Democratic party President and Chief Spokesperson have expressed grief at the passing away of noted sculptor and exponent of Budhist Art Sonam Skalzang in Leh. Padma Shri Skalzang has contributed significantly to the promotion of Art in the Ladakh region in recognition of which he had been bestowed the Padma Shri.
Mehbooba and Naeem have conveyed their condolences to the family of the departed Artist especially his son Tashi Gyalson who is also District president of PDP for Leh Ladakh.
Among other leaders who expressed their solidarity with Tashi Gyalson include Mohammed Dilawar Mir General Secretary, Senior Leader Nizamudin Bhat, Ab Rehman Veeri, Mohd Sartaj Madni .
Meanwhile PDP General Secretary Mohammed Dilawar Mir have expressed deep shock and grief over the demise of Ab Ahad Parra of Panthachowk and Ab Rehman Khan of Rambagh.
Mir also visited the family of the Parra and expressed solidarity with them. He also prayed for the eternal peace for the departed souls.
Coordination Secretary Ab Hameed Kosheen , District President M Ashraf Mir, Vice District president Nisar Ahmed Mandoo, and others also visited the bereaved families and expressed their condolences to them
