Keep eagle’s eye on administration: Sakina Itoo

Kulgam Jan. 08: Minister for Social Welfare, Ms Sakina Itoo, Saturday said that it is the fundamental principle of democracy that the people vote and elect the government which in turn gives them transparent and accountable administration. Stressing for keeping an eagle’s eye on the administration, Sakina reiterated that no stone will remain unturned in providing transparent and accountable administration to the people. 
The Minister was speaking at an impressive function organized by social welfare Department at
Matibugh Homeshali Bugh today. 
On the occasion, the Minister also distributed cheques worth Rs. 1 lakh 50 thousanbds  among 15 deserving widows and orphans under National Family Benefit Scheme (NFBS). 
Ms Sakina also distributed appointment orders among 15 candidates who have been appointed as Anganwari Workers
Speaking on the occasion the Minister said, that our Government has completed two years but that time is not enough to assess the performance of any government, however, during this little period the government has done tremendous job which can be gauged at the ground level. She said that steps taken by the Chief Minister, Mr. Omar Abdullah for welfare and development of the State during this period are historical.
Ietoo  maintained   that present coalition  government   under the  dynamic leadership of Omar  Abdullah  has launched Shar-e-Kashmir Employment  Scheme  as  part  of social responsibility  to support  the youth  who are  unemployment  and  it is  our  moral duty to   keep them away  from  desperations
She said that  the  Chief Minister , Omar  Abdullah and coalition government  has promised  people  of Jammu and Kashmir , a speedy and transparent  development and is committed  for the good  governance

“Since  last two decades  of militancy , the graph  of  orphans and widows; and a  special group(destitute)  among the Kashmir’s  has arisen , who are   in  dire  need  for financial support ,” Minister said, adding that  Social Welfare  department  supports   the needy   people  without  the distinction  of  any  race, creed or colour
Applauding the  role of  present  regime, Sakina  reiterated that her  department  will lend all the help  to support destitute  , orphans and widows  of the  state, so that  they gain respectable command  in the society.
The Minister directed DC Kulgam to streamline the working of CAPD, PDD, PHE  and Rural Development Departments in the district, so that people get benefited by different schemes without facing inconvenience. 
Ms.Sakina stressed upon all the officers of Social Welfare Department to redouble their efforts and serve the needy at their door steps. She asked them to listen the people patiently especially the old aged, widows and physically challenged persons and provides them solace from the miseries of daily life.
