Special tour for Militancy effected Children in March:GOC


Islamabad Jan 17: Indian Army under’ Operation Sadbhavna' conducted educational tour for 34 students of Army Goodwill Public school Phalgam. Maj. Gen Gurdeep Singh, GOC Victor Force on Monday flagged-in the Tour.
While talking to reports GOC Gurdeep Singh said, “we are going to organize a special tour for militancy effected children in March month of this year,” he encouraged the students for the completion of the tour and motivated the students to accomplish a better and bright future for themselves, the state and the country as a whole.
“The army organizes the tour to expose young students to developments taking place in other parts of the country,” he said
During this tour, the students from Kashmir Valley have visited Mumbai, Pune and Delhi. They got the opportunity to visit historical, religious and other important places in these cities.
In 1998, the Indian Army launched a unique operation called 'Operation Sadbhavana' to win the hearts and minds of the population long ravaged by terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
'Operation Sadbhavana' and activities of the state administration were amalgamated harmoniously to generate synergy, with a clear focus to bring a palpable improvement in the quality of life of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
