Jamaat-e-Islami, J&K strongly condemns the arrests of youths

Jamaat-e-Islami, J&K strongly condemns the on-going spree of mass-arrest of youth on allegations of participation in 2010- civil agitation and stone-pelting etc. whereas hundreds of youth have already been detained under the similar allegations. By these unwarranted  arrests, common people are being intimidated and are as such facing a worst kind of uncertainity regarding their children. Jamaat also condemns the attacks on the Bar President, Mian Abdul Qayoom in Jammu courts by some communal forces and the passive and partial role of the Jammu police for not taking any effective legal action against the culprits.
Jamaat urges govt. to immediately stop this arrest spree and release all political detenues including M. Ashraf Sehrai, Mir Sonnaullah, Mian Abdul Qayoom, Gen. Moosa, Gh. Nabi Sumjhi, Masrat Aalam, Asiya Andrabi, Dr Qasim, M. Shafi Reshi, Firdous Ahmad, Gh. Nabi Shaheen.
