2 houses gutted in fire,children recused by Army

Islamabad, Jan 11: Last night, In devastating fire incident two houses engulfed. The fire emanated at around 9:30 pm and gutted the two residential houses belonging to Ghulam Ahmad Shah son of Abdul Ahad Shah resident of Draway, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Kokernag which engulfed another house of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Shah son of Abdul Ahad resident of Draway. Both the houses were completely damaged in the incident. .


According to Fire Service officials, property worth Rs 6 Lakhs was damaged in the incident.

19 RR and Fire service rescued children of two families, who were trapped in devastating fire that engulfed their houses.

Official sources said by the time the two families came to know about the fire, family members rushed out but their children were in side their houses. Soon after the matter came to their notice, jawans of Uniform Force 19 RR rushed to the spot and rescued all the children trapped inside.

It took jawans more than two hours to extinguish the fire. The quick army response to save the children trapped in fire had been widely appreciated by the people of Larnoo.The cause behind the incident is yet to be ascertained.
