Jammu Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi (MeA) has strongly condemned the assault on Hurriyat Conference Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq by activists of extremist and fascist organizations and Kashmiri Pandits terming it highly condemnable and act of sheer hooliganism.
In a statement issued here Spokesman of MeA while condemning this incident has said that while Indian Civil society is warming up to realize the fact that Kashmir issue needs to solved for the better good of entire South-Asia, the right of freedom of expression and democratic space seems to be shrunk up.
Appealing to Indian Civil Society Mahaz Spokesman has said that Civil society of India must come forward and raise their voice against such elements hell bent to scuttle any move which aims to create better understanding about Kashmir issue among Indian masses.
Meanwhile Mahaz-e-Azadi has reiterated that tripartite talks for the basis for the resolution of Kashmir dispute in which Kashmiris are the main and principle party to the dispute.
