Srinagar, Jan 9: Hundreds of people , including men, women and children took the streets at Dalgate here on Saturday to protest against the killing of a teenager, Inayat Khan, who was allegedly shot at by paramilitary CRPF troopers in Lal Chowk on Thursday.
As the word about Khan’s death spread in Dalgate and other areas, people took to the streets and staged a sit-in near the UNO office in Sonawar.
Protesters are demanding the body of the slain youth and have blocked the traffic on the Srinagar-Jammu highway. Protests were on when this report was filed.
