New Delhi, Jan. 16: Maruti Suzuki India today hiked prices of most of its models by an estimated up to Rs 10,000 to offset the increase in input costs, including that of steel. The average increase in prices is of around 0.6 per cent. However, it varies from 0.12 per cent for the Ritz VDi at the lower end to 1.9 per cent for the DZire LXi models, Maruti Suzuki India said. The company but did not share the hike in rupee terms. The hike will range between a few hundred rupees to as high as Rs 10,000 per car, according to the current on-road prices of various models.
Mumbai, Jan. 16:The country’s foreign exchange reserves rose $741 million for the week ended January 8 to $284.262 billion from $283.52 billion in the previous week. Foreign currency assets, during the week, increased to $259.40 billion, up $772 million, from $258.63 billion a week ago, the RBI said in its weekly report today. Foreign currency assets expressed in US dollar terms include the effect of appreciation or depreciation of non-US currencies such as Euro, Sterling and Yen held in the reserves.
